Reproductive & Hormone Research
GenoPept’s Reproductive & Hormone Research range covers the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis from top to bottom: Kisspeptin-10, the upstream regulator of GnRH neurons; Gonadorelin, the native GnRH decapeptide; Triptorelin, a D-Trp6 GnRH analogue; and the gonadotropins hCG and hMG that act directly on gonadal receptors. Every batch is ≥99% purity, verified by HPLC and LC-MS at an independent ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory with a batch Certificate of Analysis.
UK laboratories can buy reproductive and hormone research peptides in the UK with discreet, tracked Royal Mail dispatch. All products are supplied for in-vitro laboratory research only and are not for human or veterinary use.

About Reproductive & Hormone Research at GenoPept
The compounds in this range share a single biological system: the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis. Kisspeptin-10 signals through KISS1R on hypothalamic neurons, gonadorelin and triptorelin act on the pituitary GnRH receptor, and hCG and hMG engage the LH and FSH receptors expressed on Leydig, theca, granulosa and Sertoli cells. Together they let a laboratory probe each step of the cascade with a defined, batch-verified reagent.
Published preclinical and clinical literature on this compound class covers reproductive endocrinology, puberty and fertility models, steroidogenesis in cultured gonadal cells, pulsatile GnRH signalling and receptor desensitisation. GnRH analogues are also studied in hormone-dependent cancer cell models.
GenoPept supplies these reagents to UK universities, contract research organisations and independent researchers who need consistent purity and documented identity. Nothing in this range is intended for human or veterinary use.
Compounds in this range
- Kisspeptin-10 – 10-amino-acid amidated fragment of the KISS1 gene product and endogenous KISS1R (GPR54) agonist; studied as the upstream trigger of GnRH release in hypothalamic and pituitary models. Sizes: 5mg, 10mg.
- Gonadorelin – synthetic decapeptide identical to native human GnRH (LHRH); studied for GnRH receptor pharmacology, pulsatile gonadotropin secretion and gonadotroph cell signalling. Sizes: 2mg, 5mg, 10mg.
- Triptorelin 2mg – D-Trp6 GnRH analogue decapeptide with prolonged receptor activity; studied in models of GnRH receptor desensitisation and hormone-dependent tissue research. Sizes: 2mg.
- HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) – heterodimeric glycoprotein hormone (92-amino-acid alpha subunit plus 145-amino-acid beta subunit) acting on the LH/CG receptor; studied in Leydig cell steroidogenesis and trophoblast biology. Sizes: 2000 IU, 5000 IU, 10000 IU.
- HMG (Human Menopausal Gonadotropin) 75 IU – purified urinary menotropins containing both FSH and LH activity; studied in granulosa and follicle culture models of folliculogenesis and ovarian steroidogenesis. Sizes: 75 IU.
Choosing between reproductive research peptides for research
Selection usually follows the level of the axis under investigation. The table summarises target, class and the model systems most often described in the literature.
| Compound | Receptor / target | Length / class | Typical model systems |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kisspeptin-10 | KISS1R (GPR54) | 10-amino-acid amidated peptide | Hypothalamic neuron cultures, KISS1R-expressing cell lines, rodent HPG studies |
| Gonadorelin | GnRH receptor (agonist, native sequence) | 10-amino-acid decapeptide | Pituitary gonadotroph lines, pulsatile perifusion, rodent models |
| Triptorelin | GnRH receptor (agonist, D-Trp6 substituted) | 10-amino-acid analogue | Receptor desensitisation, hormone-dependent cancer cell lines |
| hCG | LH/CG receptor | Glycoprotein heterodimer | Leydig cell and MA-10 steroidogenesis, trophoblast models |
| hMG | FSH receptor and LH/CG receptor | Glycoprotein mixture (FSH + LH) | Granulosa cell culture, follicle maturation, Sertoli cell models |
Gonadorelin and triptorelin are often compared directly: the native sequence is cleared rapidly and models physiological pulses, while the D-Trp6 substitution resists enzymatic breakdown and is used to study sustained receptor occupancy. hCG and hMG are glycoproteins supplied in International Units rather than milligrams, and they require gentler handling than short synthetic peptides.
Purity, testing and Certificates of Analysis
Every batch in the Reproductive & Hormone Research range is made to ≥99% purity and tested by an independent laboratory, Puralytix (ISO/IEC 17025 accredited). HPLC confirms purity and LC-MS confirms identity, and the results are recorded on a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis.
Each product page carries a "View Certificate of Analysis" button, and the full library is published at genopept.co.uk/coa-certificates. See also what a Certificate of Analysis shows.

Reproductive & Hormone Research FAQs
What are reproductive and hormone research peptides?
They are peptides and glycoprotein hormones that act on the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis: Kisspeptin-10, gonadorelin (GnRH), triptorelin, hCG and hMG. Laboratories use them to study GnRH and gonadotropin receptor signalling, steroidogenesis, folliculogenesis and reproductive endocrinology in cell culture and animal models. GenoPept supplies them in the UK strictly for in-vitro research.
What is the difference between gonadorelin and triptorelin?
Gonadorelin is the native human GnRH decapeptide, whereas triptorelin replaces glycine at position 6 with D-tryptophan. That substitution makes triptorelin more resistant to enzymatic degradation and gives it prolonged GnRH receptor activity. Researchers use gonadorelin to model physiological pulsatile signalling and triptorelin to study sustained receptor occupancy and desensitisation.
How are these compounds tested?
Every GenoPept batch is analysed by Puralytix, an independent ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory. HPLC measures purity (≥99% for peptides) and LC-MS confirms identity against the expected molecular mass. The results are recorded on a batch Certificate of Analysis, available from the button on each product page and in our online COA library.
How should I store and reconstitute reproductive research peptides?
Keep unopened lyophilised vials at –20 °C for long-term storage, or 2–8 °C short term, protected from light. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water or sterile diluent by adding solvent down the vial wall and swirling gently; never shake, especially with glycoproteins such as hCG and hMG. After reconstitution keep at 2–8 °C and use within your protocol's stated period.
Are these peptides for human use?
No. Every product in this category is for in-vitro laboratory research only. They are not medicines, are not approved for human or veterinary use, and are not for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. GenoPept does not provide dosing or administration information, and purchasers confirm they are ordering for legitimate research applications.
